The metal agrees with the paperwork
- Ratings are cast into the bodies. Pick up the brass swing check and “200 WOG” is in the metal; the wafer ball valve carries “DN15 · PN40 · CF8M” and its ISO 5211 pad sizes F03 and F04 cast into the top plate.
- Heat numbers are cast or stamped on the products — the photographs on our pages show them — which is what ties a certificate to the valve in your hand.
- The catalogue is the standard. Every figure we publish is quoted as the manufacturer prints it; anything it does not state — a torque, a temperature — we confirm with the factory on enquiry.

API 598 seat leakage
AF Hydro valves are tested to API 598 (9th Edition, 2009) for valve seat leakage rates.
- The standard sets leakage rates for metal‑seated valves, with separate rates for metal‑seated check valves.
- For the shell and backseat tests, no visible leakage is permitted — it is pass or fail, not a tolerance.
If your client or a consultant asks how the valve was proved, API 598 is the answer they are looking for.
Heat numbers and materials
- Bodies in stainless steel, cast steel, cast iron, brass and forged steel.
- Every product carries a heat number, and the testing ratio on new stock is 2% of heat numbers.
- Testing is carried out to the relevant regulations and to AF Hydro's own in‑house quality management system.
Heat numbers are what let us match a certificate to the valve in your hand — the same traceability trail we keep across the ISO 9001 range.
AF Hydro is 62 of our 118 catalogues — more than half the published range. If a job needs low pressure valves in quantity and in mixed materials, this is where it comes from — and because the brand is exclusive to us, the specification and the price do not drift between orders.
Finding the right one
Low pressure valves are specified by four things, and getting any of them wrong means the valve will not fit or will not seal:
- Standard and rating — PN10/16, PN16/PN40, JIS 10K, ANSI 150# or ANSI 300#.
- End connection — flange, threaded, socket weld or wafer.
- Body material — SS316, cast steel, cast iron, brass or A105.
- Function — isolate, throttle, prevent backflow or strain.

Who makes AF Hydro?
Addison Fluids, founded in Singapore in 2016. The brand covers around 2,000 standard products across AF Valves, AF Fittings and AF Tubes, and it is exclusive to our group — which is why we can publish the full documentation and hold the specification steady between orders.
How are the valves tested?
Seat leakage to API 598 (9th Edition, 2009), with no visible leakage permitted on the shell and backseat tests. Every product carries a heat number, and 2% of heat numbers on new stock are batch‑tested. Each product page on this site states the shell, seat and air test pressures for its own variant.
Are the dimensions and parts lists published?
Yes — in full. Every AF Hydro valve we stock has its own page with the complete dimension tables, the numbered bill of materials and the sectional drawing, quoted exactly as the catalogue prints them, plus the catalogue PDF as a direct download. Anything the catalogue does not state — an operating torque, a working temperature — we confirm with the factory on enquiry rather than estimate.
Can I get material certificates?
Ask for them on the enquiry, before the order is placed. Heat numbers are on the products themselves, so a certificate can be matched to the exact casting — tell us the requirement (for example a mill certificate against the heat number) and we will obtain it from the factory with the shipment.
Which flange standards does the range cover?
ANSI Class 150 and 300, JIS 10K, PN10/16 and PN16/PN40 across the flanged valves, plus BSPP and NPT threads and socket weld ends on the threaded ranges. These standards do not bolt to one another even where the pressure ratings look similar — each product page says which one it is drilled for.
Is the stock local?
Yes — held in Malaysia or Singapore and dispatched same or next working day, with quotations from a product specialist within two working hours.
What does “exclusive brand” mean in practice?
Three things you can hold us to. The specification does not drift — a repeat order matches the first one, because we control what the factory ships. The documentation is complete and public — dimension tables, bills of materials, drawings and test pressures on every product page, with no registration wall. And the stock is ours, held in Malaysia or Singapore, so the lead time is a courier’s, not a mill’s.
Do you supply spare parts?
Yes — and this is where the published bills of materials earn their keep. Every product page lists the parts with the manufacturer’s own callout numbers, matching the sectional drawing. Quote the valve, the size and the item number — for example “2" ANSI 150 SS316 ball valve, item 7” — and we confirm the part and material with the factory before anything ships.
Can AF Hydro valves be actuated?
Two of the ranges publish an actuator interface: the PN16/PN40 wafer ball valve carries an ISO 5211 pad with F03 and F04 cast into the top plate, and the butterfly valves publish their top‑flange drilling. The threaded ball, gate and globe ranges are supplied lever or handwheel operated with no published pad. Operating torque is not printed for any of them — and an actuator has to be sized on torque — so tell us the actuator and we confirm the mounting and the torque with the factory before you order either half.
Are the valves fire-safe certified?
The threaded ranges are soft‑seated PTFE valves and the literature claims no fire‑safe design — if your specification calls for a fire‑safe certificate, those do not meet it on paper. On the flanged side, each variant states its design standard on its page — API 608 on the cast steel flange end ball valves and API 6D on the ANSI 300 SS316. If a certificate has to accompany the valve, say so on the enquiry and we confirm what the factory can issue.
What is not published, and how do you handle it?
The catalogues do not print flow coefficients (Cv), operating torques, and for some variants a working temperature or test table. We treat the catalogue as the standard: what it prints, we publish exactly; what it does not print, we confirm with the factory on enquiry rather than estimate. Each product page says plainly which figures are in that second category.
Where does AF Hydro stop and the high pressure range begin?
AF Hydro is our low pressure brand — threaded ball valves to 1000 and 2000 PSI, flanged valves by class (ANSI 150/300, JIS 10K, PN10/16/40), and 800 PSI threaded gate, globe and Y‑strainer ranges. Above that sit the separate high pressure valve ranges — different construction, different brands, their own pages.
