The pattern on a vessel is decided by who built her. Japanese and Korean-built ships carry JIS square flanges and JIS 10K valves; the hydraulics carry SAE J518. We hold both systems — with the SS316, the marine standards and the EN 10204 3.1 paperwork a yard job needs — in stock in Malaysia and Singapore.
What the yards buy from us
Both flange systems, the valves that match them, and the parts around them.
JIS square flanges
210K, 280K and 350K to JIS B2291 and F7806 — the shipbuilding standard, written for pressure plus a salt atmosphere. Supplied as complete sets: both halves, O‑ring, bolts and nuts.
Singapore yard orders run 280K and 350K KA/KB, increasingly in SS316.
Square flange standards and sizes →SAE J518 flanges
What Singapore marine repair actually orders: SS316L, Code 62, socket or butt weld, with Viton where the fluid or temperature calls for it. The weld‑in range carries an ABS type examination.
SAE flanges, both codes →JIS 10K valves
Gate, globe, swing check, Y‑strainers and flange end ball valves in JIS 10K — the drilling on Japanese and Korean-built vessels — alongside the full ANSI 150 range.
The low pressure valve range →Pipe clamps
Tubeclo and Stauff DIN 3015 clamps, including anti‑corrosion series for weather decks and splash zones, in volume from the shelf.
Clamp series and sizes →Stainless tube & pipe
Dural SS316 tube and pipe for instrument and hydraulic runs where carbon steel will not last at sea — with the mill certificate behind each heat.
Stainless steel tubes →Seals & accessories
O‑rings in NBR and Viton, bonded seals, pressure gauges and test couplings — the small parts that hold a survey date.
Seals and accessories →The paperwork is part of the part. On classed marine and offshore work the requirement is normally set by your client or the classification society — square flanges ship against an EN 10204 3.1 certificate, and the heat number on the certificate is the same number stamped on the flange, so the piece in your hand traces to a tested heat.
What that means on a survey
- 3.1 mill certificates with the forged flanges — chemistry and mechanicals for the lot.
- Heat numbers stamped on the part, not only on the paper.
- ABS type-examined dimensions on the weld‑in SAE flange range.
- Tell us at enquiry whose rules apply — JIS F7806 itself says classed equipment needs confirmation from the classification society, so the paperwork is agreed before the order, not after.

Which flange system is on the vessel?
Start from who built her, then read the marking.
| The situation | Start from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese or Korean-built vessel | JIS square flanges · B2291 / F7806 | The pattern those yards install — and the two standards do not interchange with SAE |
| Hydraulic power packs and machinery | SAE J518 · Code 61 / 62 | The four-bolt pattern on pump, motor and valve ports worldwide |
| Weather deck and splash zone | SS316 / SS316L, Viton seals | Chloride resistance — carbon steel needs coating to survive at sea |
| Replacing what is fitted | Read the marking | Standard, type, size and series are stamped on the flange — send a photo and we identify it |
Shipyard questions, answered
The ones marine buyers actually send us.
Do you stock JIS F7806 marine flanges?
Yes — 280K and 350K KA/KB to JIS F7806, the shipbuilding square flange standard, alongside 210K SHA/SHB to B2291. Supplied as complete sets — both halves, O‑ring, four bolts and nuts — from stock in Malaysia and Singapore. The square flange page carries the full dimension tables for all three series.
Can you supply against a classification society requirement?
Tell us whose rules apply at enquiry stage. JIS F7806 itself carries the warning that flanges going into equipment essential to the ship’s safety or propulsion need confirmation from the classification society — so the documentation requirement is agreed before the order and sent with the quotation, not chased afterwards.
What certificates come with the flanges?
Forged flanges ship against an EN 10204 3.1 certificate reporting the chemical analysis and mechanical tests for the lot — and the heat number on the certificate is stamped on the flange itself, so the part traces to the tested heat without relying on the box label.
Which valves fit a Japanese-built ship?
The JIS 10K line: gate, globe and swing check valves, Y‑strainers and flange end ball valves, all drilled to JIS 10K — see the low pressure valve range. The ANSI 150 equivalents sit beside them for everything else in the engine room.
What do Singapore yards usually order for SAE flange work?
SS316L, Code 62, socket weld or butt weld ends, with Viton seals where the fluid or the temperature calls for it — that is what actually moves through our Singapore warehouse. Carbon steel Code 61 with NBR covers the general industrial work.
Do you hold marine-grade pipe clamps?
Yes — Tubeclo and Stauff DIN 3015 clamps including the anti‑corrosion series for weather decks and splash zones. Standard, heavy, twin and rubber‑insert series are on the pipe clamps page.
How fast can you get parts to a yard?
Stock sits in Johor Bahru and Singapore, so a Singapore yard is not waiting on customs clearance for a common size. Stocked items dispatch same or next working day, and a product specialist prices the enquiry within two working hours.
Can you identify a flange taken off a vessel?
Yes — the marking carries the standard, type, size, series and material, and the bolt‑hole pitch separates the series where the marking is gone. Send a photo with a rule across the bolt centres to info@rfshydraulics.com or on WhatsApp; we identify these every week.
Send the drawing, the marking or the survey list.
We confirm the standard, the material and the paperwork requirement, and price it from Malaysia or Singapore stock — within two working hours.
