HSME — needle valves to 10,000 PSI.
A Korean manufacturer of double ferrule fittings, JIC fittings and SS316 needle valves. The needle valves are the reason to know the name: rated to 10,000 PSI, where most of the range around them stops at 6,000.
What we stock from HSME
Three lines, all high pressure.
SS316 needle valves, 10,000 PSI
Stainless steel needle valves rated to 10,000 PSI for throttling and fine flow control.
Our RFS needle valves cover 6,000 PSI in FxF and MxF. When the duty is above that, this is the line.
Needle valves and ratings →Double ferrule fittings
Two ferrules instead of one — the front ferrule seals, the back ferrule grips the tube. It is the arrangement used where vibration would work a single‑ferrule joint loose.
Double ferrule fittings →JIC fittings
37° flare JIC fittings — the metal‑to‑metal seal that dominates hydraulic work where an O‑ring would not survive the temperature.
JIC fittings →Choosing the needle valve
Needle valves are specified on pressure first and port arrangement second. Across our range:
- HSME — SS316, 10,000 PSI. The highest‑rated needle valve we stock.
- RFS — SS316, 6,000 PSI in FxF and MxF. Our own line, held in local stock.
- MHA Zentgraf — steel, 350 bar (about 5,000 PSI), for hydraulic rather than instrument duty.
Tell us the working pressure and the ports, and we will tell you which of the three fits — and whether the cheaper one is genuinely enough.
Where HSME sits in the fitting range
HSME is one of six manufacturers in our high pressure fittings section, and it overlaps deliberately with the others:
- Double ferrule — HSME and RFS both cover it.
- JIC — HSME and RFS both cover it.
- Compression — from Eaton (Germany), KPL (Korea) and RFS.
Where an RFS equivalent exists and the pressure allows it, we will usually quote RFS as well — it is our own line and we hold it here.
